- The 50 Metre Standing Start Test measures speed. The participant runs 50 metres from a standing start, and time is recorded in seconds; a lower time indicates better performance.
- The 600 Metre Run/Walk measures endurance. It should take place on a measured surface, with participants completing the distance safely at their best sustainable effort. Performance is recorded mainly by time.
- The Sit and Reach Test measures flexibility, particularly in the lower back and hamstring muscles. The participant sits with the legs extended and reaches forward; a greater distance generally indicates better performance when the technique is correct.
- The Partial Curl-Up Test assesses abdominal muscular strength and endurance through repeated, controlled trunk curls. The Push-Up Test assesses upper-body muscular strength and endurance through the number of correctly performed push-ups. In repetition tests, a higher number of correctly completed repetitions generally indicates better muscular endurance.
- The Standing Broad Jump assesses explosive leg strength. The participant jumps horizontally from a standing position, and the distance is measured. In distance tests such as the standing broad jump and sit and reach, a greater distance generally indicates better performance, provided technique is correct.
